MY PROM DRESS

i finished my prom dress!
yes! i decided to make it myself! XD
ever since sophomore year i knew no dress would satisfy me unless it was pvc, and a HUGE change from my normal lolita wear (cuz i do dress up every day for school) nce it was done i wondered how i would wear my hair and make up and gave it a try. all thats left to do is buy my shoes, and trim the bottom of the dress to the right length once i know how tall there ganna be. between 5-6.5\" tall

-the design-
since pvc is rather expensive per yard, and every puncture is visible (meaning i only get to sew it once NO do overs) i didnt wanna guess at anything.
i decided it had to have a split, have to be form fitting, and hide my disproportion.
so i tried on several dresses for lots of different designers and shapes, and liked gentle mermaid dresses and princess seams. i figured adding a gathered bust would draw attenchion away from my hips, and the dropped waistline would keep a form fitting dress from hugging my pudge.
when i learned you cant hem pvc the trim was necessary to hide the raw edge on top.
